Campione Ticinese a Squadre 2008 é Bianconero Lugano!
Il Locarno non ha potuto schierare una squadra per mancanza di giocatori. Massironi e Ivancev del CSL hanno quindi giocato alcune partite con il Bianconero.
Il torneo è stato organizzato al Palapenz di Chiasso dal club locale il 29-30 di novembre. Le squadre partecipanti sono state nove, assente la decima, il CS Locarno, causa mancanza di giocatori. Il regolamento classifica le squadre, come al solito di 4 giocatori, per punti di scacchiera, incredibilmente, non contano i punti di squadra. Questo sarebbe il sistema dell'Olimpiade di scacchi (vinta quest'anno dall'Armenia).
Classifica finale:
1. Bianconero Lugano 11.0 punti
2. Mendrisio I 10.5
3. Lodrino 8.5
Il primo posto è andato al Bianconero solo in virtù della vittoria per 3-1 del Mendrisio contro il Bellinzona all'ultimo turno, grazie all'exploit di Peter Bachmann che ha sconfitto il FM Fabrizio Patuzzo in maniera eclatante! Non contava aver vinto 3 gare e pareggiata 1 su 4 ne aver vinto lo scontro diretto con il Mendrisio!?
Comunque ... risultati individuali dei campioni, rimasti in carica dall'anno scorso:
G. Botta 4/4 pt (!! si è tenuto la coppa di squadra, meritatamente); A. Colmenares 2/4; W. Ivancev 1.5/2; D. Massironi 2/4; F. Ranieri 1.5/2.
Comunque ... risultati individuali dei campioni, rimasti in carica dall'anno scorso:
